Rattlesnake reported in lower elevation Greenhorn
To my knowledge we haven’t typically seen rattlesnakes in areas as far north as Greenhorn Gulch. That said, we have started to get reports of sightings of them in lower elevations of that drainage this season. I got a report from a BWBT member today about a conversation he had with a person who recently encountered a rattlesnake on the low Cow Creek Connector Trail (the short, rocky trail that goes up and over from the trailhead to the mouth of Greenhorn Gulch). I thought it would be prudent to pass that information along.
