PET OF THE WEEK: Mowgli

mowglicuddle.jpgBig ol’ cuddly Mowgli came to the shelter as a stray. While we don’t know this sweet dog’s story, we are certain he has one. Mowgli arrived with significant healing lacerations on his face, and he was terrified to be put on a leash. We don’t know what happened to Mowgli in his past, but we know it wasn’t good. The amazing thing about Mowgli is that in spite of all of this, you won’t find a kinder, more loving dog anywhere. This dog is the true definition of resilience. He is so grateful to be at the shelter. Mowgli has not had any training from what we can tell, but he’s already getting more at ease with a leash. Mowgli really wants to please, so, with a little time and kindness, we believe this loving dog will learn his basics. Mowgli is a true gem with a heart of gold who should make a wonderful best friend. Mowgli is a 65 lb neutered male red flat coat golden retriever mix born around 10/1/06.
